Switzerland is arranged in every country, and education is no exception. In Switzerland, there are public and private universities. Public education is carried out by 10 cantonal universities and two federal technology instituta. Foreign students need a visa, but entitles students to work 15 hours a week during the school year without restrictions during the holidays.
Fees range from 500 to 1,000 Swiss francs per semester. For foreign students – a little more expensive, but bearable. For example, in Universit de Geneve fee per semester is 600 Swiss francs in the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich is 580 francs, and at Universitat Zurich – 640 francs. In private universities the amounts are much higher, reaching tens of thousands of Swiss francs.

Foreign applicants must submit a high school diploma and a certificate of proficiency in German, French, Italian or English, according to the location of the university. Some schools have their own entrance exams in specific subjects and in cases where the diploma of the candidate does not meet the requirements.
The school year begins in September and preparations for the application you should start at least six months in advance.
